Taylor Swift is one of those few celebrities who strive to maintain a personal connection with their fanbase. The problem is it’s hard to stand out among the millions of other Swifties vying for her attention. One way a superfan can do so is by trying out the singer’s hobbies. And word on the street is that she particularly loves nature.
Hanging Out with Falcons
A few years ago, the 30-year-old was spotted by some fans at the Ventana Resort in Big Sur, California. Swift reportedly joined the $200 ‘Falconry Experience’ class at the luxury resort. The experience spans one and a half hours and gives guests an introduction to the bird. They are also given the chance to see hawks during a ‘hawk walk’ included in the session. The activity involves a short hike and flight demonstrations with master falconer Antonio Balesteri as well.
Swift didn’t avail of one interesting part of the falconry package though. Ventana Resort reportedly offers an engagement proposal arrangement where a hawk would fly to the proposal’s intended recipient.
Lucky Fans
As expected, the star’s presence didn’t fly under the radar. One resort guest actually took to social media to share their encounter with Swift. According to People magazine, they described the singer as ‘sweet’ and said that she ended up spending 20 minutes with them.
Swift’s amicable attitude towards fans is certainly not surprising as she’s known for being gracious towards her supporters. She even hosts listening sessions with Swifties before releasing her records officially.
Her participation in the nature activity is also characteristic of the hitmaker.
Loving & Living Near Nature
She’s previously spent some time in Big Sur together with supermodel Karlie Kloss in 2015. The mountainous section of California’s coastline is known for its wildlife and nature. And based on the pictures they took, the besties definitely got to see and enjoy the best of what Big Sur has to offer.
Swift’s connection to California doesn't end there though. She used to own a four-bedroom home in the Beverly Hills area. The cozy estate boasts of Cape Cod-style architecture and is surrounded by trees throughout.
