Jessica Simpson is leaving quite an impression on her oldest daughter, Maxwell, who seemed to be following in her footsteps. Apparently, the child is into sketching and designing dresses, just like her mom!
The only difference is that the 7-year-old is styling gowns for her stuffed animals whereas the singer’s billion-dollar eponymous line is catered for, well, human beings. Recently, the 39-year-old opened up about how motherhood impacted her business and how her little girl is gearing to be a designer.
Apparently, Maxwell sketches designs that she believes Jessica will bring to life by the end of the day. The Open Book author also shared that her daughter is currently liking stuffed animals and in fact, the child has been busy organizing a wedding for puppy toys.
As such, they need to make wedding gowns for the stuffed puppies. Jessica quipped her company could cover the same work.
She also elucidated on how her experiences shaped her empire, like when she was pregnant. Jessica found it hard to find jeans that look fashionable and comfortable.
These experiences, she said, had her thinking about her brand and why she wanted to expand. Indeed, the artist has been making sure that milestones in her life are part of her clothing line — after giving birth to Birdie Mae, her third child with husband Eric Johnson, she launched a children’s collection.
Meanwhile, Jessica had given us a glimpse of how talented Maxwell is when she posted a photo of her on Instagram as she drew circles with chalks on the driveway. Apart from the obvious artistic skills of the child, she is also quite the twin of her mom.
Maxwell was wearing a yellow sweater with a pink heart pattern that was from her mother’s collection. Jessica couldn’t help but gush over the adorable scene, while fans couldn’t resist the urge to point out that they look so alike.
On top of being a doting mom, a businesswoman, and a singer, Jessica is also an author of a New York Times’ best-seller, where she bared it all from her family to love life to career.
She didn’t mince any words and dropped major bombshells, including her toxic on-and-off relationship with singer John Mayer.
She also opened up about going under the knife after people body-shamed her. The These Boots Are Made for Walking hitmaker also admitted the hardships about weight loss after giving birth to her kids.
