Jada Pinkett Smith is not one to hide her emotions and opinions. Case in point is her straightforward approach to speaking with Snoop Dogg during the musician’s recent appearance on Smith’s web television talk show.
Honest Sit-Down

The still unaired episode of ‘Red Table Talk’ will see the 48-year-old mother of two in an honest conversation with Dogg talking about how his comments negatively affected her and the other women in her family.
It can be remembered that the rapper made some remarks criticizing journalist Gayle King for asking controversial questions about the recently deceased NBA star Kobe Bryant.
As Smith revealed, her heart dropped after hearing what the rapper had to say about the matter. She further confessed how she felt like his remarks were also addressed to herself.
What more, she said that the things he said ‘took away the power of herself, her daughter and her mother. And in the spirit of healing, she wanted to have a conversation with him.
Meanwhile, the rapper was seen shaking his head perhaps in disappointment with his recent actions during the preview for the episode.
Past Allegations

The tragic death of Bryant, along with his daughter Gianna and seven other helicopter passengers, also brought on questions about the assault case he faced in the early 2000s.
The case ended in an out-of-court settlement after the charges were dropped and a civil case was opened instead.
In light of the athlete’s passing, King interviewed Lisa Leslie, a former professional basketball player, about Bryant’s legacy. The conversation included numerous questions inquiring about the allegations against the late NBA star.
Snoop’s Apology

The rapper’s comments came after the interview was aired in full. However, he has since apologized to King for his harsh language, which was reportedly seen as threats towards the CBS This Morning host. In an Instagram post, the 48-year-old musician explained that he ‘overreacted’ and was ‘disrespectful’.
He also clarified that his intentions were just in attempts to express himself for Bryant, a friend who is no longer here to defend himself.
In response, King accepted the apology and expressed understanding that he was acting on ‘raw emotions’ amidst the tragic event.
She also admitted that although she doesn’t always get things perfect, she continues to strive to do her job with ‘compassion and integrity’.
