Rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been in the music game for around three decades now. The now-50-year-old ‘Bad Boy For Life’ singer has surely done a lot throughout his career but it looks like he’s finally taking the time to slow down this time because of his health.
Going Under The Knife
The Grammy Award-winning musician recently revealed that he was undergoing surgery once again in a series of Instagram stories addressing his fans. The operation would be the fourth one he’ll get in just the span of two years.
Speaking from his hospital bed, the hitmaker even apologized to the people who came to see him at an appearance in San Francisco, which he missed as he had to get an operation to repair a quadriceps tendon tear.
He then asked his fans to pray for him and promised that he’ll make it up to them the next time.
As to why he needed the operation in the first place, Combs explained that he’s an ‘accident-prone’ person.
Describing himself as clumsy, he shared that he sometimes trips and even ‘fall in holes’. His previous surgeries were a knee replacement and for two rotator cuffs.
Slowing Down
In the end, the musician said he believed that this was God’s way of getting him to slow down and start taking better care of himself. He added that he needs to stop treating his body like a machine.
Combs clarified though that he isn’t too keen on sympathy as he admits that he got himself into the accident that injured him.
Hopefully, the artist does end up taking a needed break. He’s currently been busy working on bringing back the ‘Making the Band’ series and he’s determined to make it a family affair. Combs sons, Christian, Quincy, and Justin, would reportedly serve as the judges for the reboot.
Getting Inspiration
Combs also found time to give a message to a group of children battling cancer in the clips he shared.
The musician met the group during a guesting on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ recently. He told them how they’re inspiring him at the moment and told them to never give up.
The television meeting came about after the children requested to dance with Combs and eventually had their wish granted. The kids chose the singer’s song ‘Bad Boy for Life’ because of its lyrics.
